QEGSA is the School’s Parent -Teacher Association. It arranges fundraising events to support the school, as well as social events for parents and pupils.

Parents are welcome to join the committee or volunteer their help when they will be approached to occasionally help with an event or activity. Please click here if you would like to join the committee or offer help at future events.

QEGSA also operates a Development Fund which parents are encouraged to contribute to. Payments can be made on a monthly or annual basis. Whichever method is chosen, parents are encouraged to complete a Gift Aid declaration as this enables us to reclaim a further 25 pence per pound from the government.

QEGSA and the Development Fund make a vital contribution to the school. In recent years, QEGSA has contributed money for:

New furniture for the Dining Room
Equipment for the media editing suite
The renovation of the Learning Resource Centre
A second mini-bus
New Digital lighting and sound equipment for the Hall
New suite of computers
Sewing Machines
Graphics Tablets
Walking track

QEGSA can be contacted via the School Office telephone: 020 8449 2984

Chair:        Fiona Stephen and Sue Moles

Development Fund and Treasurer:  Patrice Mulligan

All parents are welcome to join us at our meetings which are held in the School in room 212 at 7.30pm.
Please see the school newsletter for upcoming meeting dates.

Development Fund

The Development Fund has been set up to increase the fundraising potential of QEGSA. It was felt there were many parents who were unable to commit time to QEGSA but who would willingly donate money to enhance the school’s facilities to benefit their own daughter and the other pupils in the school.

QEGSA is a registered charity, which can reclaim tax under the Government's Gift Aid scheme. If you are a UK taxpayer, this means an extra 25p for every £1 donated! Parents are encouraged to donate on a regular basis. The suggested amount is £10 per month, but regular donations of any amount on a monthly, annual or one-off basis are warmly welcomed. All donations are on a confidential basis.

Giving in this way, your generosity will make an even greater difference in how we can help improve the education and welfare of pupils at QEGS.

Also please remember if you pay tax at the higher rate, you can claim further tax relief in your Self-Assessment tax return. If you are unsure whether your donation would qualify for Gift Aid tax relief, please refer to leaflet IR65 from the tax office.

Since being set up, the Development Fund has supported the following projects:

  • New dining room furniture
  • Apple i-Macs for the Media editing suite
  • The refurbishment of the Learning Resource Centre (Library) and Sixth Form Study Room
  • New school Mini-Bus
  • Digital Sound and Lighting equipment for the Main Hall

The current project is to fund new  equipment for the Fitness Suite and an all weather area for the girls to enjoy.
