Applying for Sixth Form

Our Sixth Form Open Evening will be taking place on Thursday 13th November 2014 from 6.00 pm - 8.00 pm.   There will be talks by Miss Pearson - Head of Sixth Form and Mrs Webster - Head Teacher as well as the opportunity to meet current Sixth Form students and speak to the teachers in charge of the courses we offer.  Our Sixth Form Prospectus together with an application form will be available for collection on the evening.

Updated information regarding the application process for 2015-16 will be posted on the website soon.

View our latest Sixth Form Prospectus.  Select the courses you wish to follow.  Most Sixth Formers would choose to follow four courses.  You should aim to continue three of your choices in the Upper Sixth to A2 level.

See the Subject Information Booklet for detailed information on course content and entry requirements.   The Sixth Form timetable is based on blocks and each student needs to pick one subject from each block - see the Year 12 Blocks 2014-2015.

Complete an application form.

Complete the relevant sections on the reference form and hand it to someone who knows you well to complete.  This will usually be your Head of Year, Tutor or Headteacher.

Send your application to the address on the form.  Closing date for applications is Friday 31st January 2014.

Meetings will be arranged to discuss Sixth Form Applications following receipt of a reference with relevant predicted grades.

Details of the timetable for these sessions will be confirmed as soon as possible.

The Admissions Criteria are detailed on the main Admissions Policy page of the website. These should be read in conjunction with the subject specific criteria. The oversubscription criteria for 2014/5, should these need to be applied, are the same as those for 2015/6.
