A dynamic and passionate Head of Art & Design is required to join our thriving and highly successful department in September 2026. This is a rare opportunity to lead an important and well-regarded subject area within our school. Students in Art & Design flourish; they achieve impressive results and they demonstrate dedication to their studies. The department offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities, engaging educational trips and dedicated A-Level studios. Supported by a skilled technician, the successful candidate will build on exceptionally high standards of teaching, learning and achievement in one of the top girls’ schools nationally. They will model outstanding classroom practice and will be focused on the attainment of all students and have proven success at teaching across all abilities. Contribution towards the wider school life, both pastoral and extra-curricular activities is expected.

Our teaching load allocations allow additional time for PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment). To support flexible working, staff have a timetabled early departure opportunity after lunch one afternoon per fortnight during a period identified as PPA on their timetable. The school is currently exploring what other steps it can take to offer further flexibility. Employees also have complimentary access to our on-site fitness suite, swimming pool facilities and access to over 29 acres of land to enjoy.
