Librarian & School Archivist
Salary Scale 18 - 21 £35,520 - £37,134 per annum pro rata
(Actual salary £29,892.93 - £31,251.25)
We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and forward-thinking Librarian & School Archivist to join our vibrant educational community. This role is central to the intellectual life of the school, responsible for fostering a love of reading among students while meticulously preserving the rich history and heritage of our institution.
As Librarian, you will curate a diverse, inclusive collection and support students in developing essential information literacy skills. As Archivist, you will manage our historical collections, ensuring that the school’s legacy is documented, protected, and accessible for future generations.
The postholder will have experience of working in a library, preferably a school library, and have a strong knowledge of Children’s/Young Adult (YA) literature. They will also be part of the schools’ First Aid team (training will be given if required).

Our teaching load allocations allow additional time for PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment). There is a two-week autumn term, half-term break. The school is currently exploring what other steps it can take to offer further flexibility.
