When choosing your A level subjects you may find it useful to explore the links in the Beyond Sixth Form section of our website and to also look at the ‘Informed Choices’ document which was produced by the Russell Group Universities showing the qualifications required for each degree.
We welcome applications from external students to study in the Sixth Form at Queen Elizabeth’s Girls’ School. Please view our latest school prospectus and complete the admissions form for entry to the Sixth Form. Detailed information on course content and admissions criteria is set out in the Sixth Form Subject and Admissions Information Booklet. The Sixth Form timetable is based on blocks and every student needs to pick three subjects, one each from any three of the blocks. There is provision for students to take four subjects if this is appropriate. Students should complete the form with their subject choices and predicted grades and send it for the attention of Sixth Form Admissions at the school.
Based on the predicted grades on the application form we will offer students a conditional place where those grades meet the general and subject specific entry criteria. Students holding a conditional place may be invited to a meeting to discuss their subject choices with a member of the Sixth Form team.
Internal students are actively supported and encouraged to apply to the Sixth Form at Queen Elizabeth’s Girls’ School. The Sixth Form timetable is based on blocks and every student needs to pick at least three subjects, there is provision for students to take four subjects if this is appropriate.
